Scholarships and grants are a type of aid that doesn’t need to be repaid. All kinds of organizations can offer scholarships — from nonprofit organizations to religious groups to private companies. However, in this section, we will focus on government grants and West Coast University scholarships.
Federal Grants
The federal government offers need-based grants, such as the Pell Grant, to qualifying students. The first step to apply is to fill out the FAFSA. If you qualify for a grant from the federal government, it will be included in your financial aid package.
