FAQs
Is the project management track right for me?

In the project management track, you will complete core health administration courses while also taking complementary classes in project management and operations management fundamentals. This track is ideal for anyone who would like to learn how to manage projects within health administration teams.

Will my previous coursework transfer into the MHA program? How about past work experience?

We can evaluate your previous coursework for transfer credit. You may also qualify for credit for previous professional experience, as well as professional certifications, trainings, and licenses (including the Project Management Professional (PMP) license).

Your advisor can help assess which credits you are eligible to transfer into the Master of Health Administration program, if any.

How long does it take to complete the MHA - Project Management degree?

We offer three multiple program pace options to meet varying student schedules. You can complete the MHA – Project Management program in as little as 8 months at the Accelerated Plus pace, 12 months at the Accelerated pace, or 20 months at the Working Professional pace. You may be able to reach your degree sooner if you completed the bridge program for your Bachelor of Science in Health Administration at WCU, meaning you got a head start on your graduate-level credits while you were an undergraduate student.

Can I still get my degree if I’m working full-time?

Yes. Our online degree programs are designed to be flexible for working adults. With a virtual classroom that you can access anytime and from anywhere, you get to choose which days and times to complete your assignments in order to meet your weekly deadlines. Also, as an online student, you have access to a wealth of online resources and extensive support, including our WCU online library, 24/7 tech support, a Student Success advisor, no-cost tutoring, and more.

If you’re struggling to keep up with school as a working student, you can choose the Working Professional program pace, which allows you to take fewer courses per term to better balance your schedule. This is also a great option for students who are parents and at-home caregivers.
