Through our Career Services Department, we provide ongoing assistance with professional and career development through workshops and guidance for our students and graduates.

At WCU-Texas, our goal is to build both the skills and confidence required in the nursing field. Practice using high-fidelity manikins that cry, sweat, and react like real patients. Coupled with hands-on clinical experiences, our simulations give students the opportunity to master foundational skills and graduate with confidence.

Our BSN Dallas students experience a range of patient care situations from routine to emergency. During simulation sessions, each student practices the functions of a Registered Nurse, independently. The Simulation labs at West Coast University use a full range of scenarios at all levels of the core nursing program:

  • Mental Health

WCU-Texas is dedicated to building long-term clinical relationships and hospital affiliations that offer students a world of options and meaningful clinical experiences.

Clinical faculty provide support by facilitating preference selection, helping with compliance tracking, and assist with clinical site placement.

The BSN Dallas program focuses on the preparation of nurses who are life-long learners and critical thinkers, and upon completion of the program, will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination to become a Registered Nurse.

A total of 120 semester credits are required to earn the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN), including the completion of general education courses, lower and upper division didactic theory courses, and clinical experience.

Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, the University has moved some of the on-ground courses into a distance education modality. However, as soon as the COVID-19 circumstances change, students will be expected to return on campus to complete their program onsite in the regular learning modality as approved by WSCUC and outlined in the university catalog.
